01
The contract

Agreement and related policies

These Subscription Terms form an agreement between you and Tranquiliva, the service provider identified in our General Terms. They apply when you start, renew or use a paid Tranquiliva Premium subscription.

Our General Terms, Privacy Policy, Safety Promise and any plan details shown at checkout also apply. If these Subscription Terms conflict with the General Terms on a billing or subscription point, these Subscription Terms control that point.

You accept these terms electronically when you select the agreement checkbox and complete the checkout process. Save a copy for your records.

02
Who may pay

Eligibility and account responsibility

You must have a Tranquiliva account and provide accurate account and billing information. You must be legally able to enter this agreement. If local law requires a parent or guardian to approve your purchase, that person must complete or authorise the subscription.

  • Use a payment method you are authorised to use.
  • Keep your account credentials private.
  • Tell us promptly if you believe a subscription was created without permission.
  • Do not share or resell Premium access unless a specific plan permits it.
03
What you receive

Plans, billing periods and Premium features

Tranquiliva may offer monthly, annual or promotional Premium plans. The checkout page shows the billing period, price, currency, features and amount due before you approve payment.

Monthly

Renews each month until cancelled.

Annual

Renews every 12 months until cancelled.

Promotional

Special duration or price shown before acceptance.

Premium features may include deeper mood insights, extended AI reflection, offline resources and additional CauseCanvas exports. The exact features included in your plan appear on the subscription and checkout pages.

Core support stays available without Premium. Crisis information, essential safety tools and the basic support identified as free will not require a paid plan.

04
What you authorise

Prices, currency and payment processing

Prices are shown in Ghana cedis unless checkout states otherwise. Any applicable tax, payment-provider charge or other fee will be shown before you approve the payment where required.

Payments are processed by Paystack and participating banks, card networks or mobile-money providers. By subscribing, you authorise Tranquiliva and its payment processor to charge the amount shown at checkout and to use the resulting payment authorisation for future renewals until you cancel.

  • Premium activates only after our server verifies a successful payment.
  • A browser redirect, debit alert or screenshot is not final proof that payment settled.
  • We may receive a transaction reference, payment status and limited masked payment metadata.
  • Tranquiliva does not ask for or store your full card number, CVV, MoMo PIN or one-time payment code on its checkout page.

Paystack’s separate privacy and service terms apply to its processing of your payment details.

05
Recurring charge

Automatic renewal

Your subscription renews automatically until you cancel it. A monthly plan renews each month. An annual plan renews every 12 months. Your subscription page will show the current plan, renewal date and price known to us.

On or shortly before the renewal date, you authorise us to request payment using your saved Paystack authorisation or another payment method you have selected. We will provide renewal notices where required by law or where the plan specifically promises one.

Cancellation

You may cancel Premium from Subscription settings. If self-service cancellation is unavailable, contact billing support through our support form.

  1. Cancel before renewal. Submit cancellation before the renewal date shown in your account.
  2. Keep the confirmation. Your account should show that renewal is off. Save any cancellation message.
  3. Use remaining access. Unless we state otherwise or applicable law requires a different result, Premium continues until the end of the paid billing period.
  4. No next charge. We will not request the next renewal after a valid cancellation takes effect.

Deleting your account is separate. Cancelling Premium does not delete your journal or account. Account deletion is managed from Privacy & Data.

07
Money returned

Refunds

Except where applicable law requires otherwise, a completed subscription payment is generally not refundable merely because you did not use Premium or changed your mind after Premium access began.

We will review refund requests involving:

  • a duplicate charge;
  • an incorrect amount;
  • a renewal processed after a valid, timely cancellation;
  • Premium access that was not delivered after payment was verified and we could not fix the problem within a reasonable time; or
  • another situation where Ghanaian law requires a refund.

Send the transaction reference and receipt through billing support. Do not send your full card number, CVV, MoMo PIN or one-time code. Approved refunds are normally returned through the original payment route. Timing depends on Paystack, the mobile-money provider, card network and your bank.

Nothing in these terms removes any refund, reversal or chargeback right that applicable law gives you.

08
When payment does not match access

Failed, pending or disputed payments

A payment can remain pending or fail because of a bank, mobile-money, network or gateway issue. Premium stays locked until our server receives and verifies the successful payment record.

Payment is pending

Wait for the status to update. Avoid paying again unless checkout clearly asks you to retry.

Debited but no access

Send us the receipt and transaction reference. We will check the verified server record.

Payment is disputed

We may pause the related Premium access while the bank or provider reviews the dispute.

Contact Tranquiliva first for a service or access problem. If it remains unresolved, you may contact Paystack or your financial institution using the rights and processes available to you.

09
Upgrade or downgrade

Plan changes and promotional offers

Before an upgrade, downgrade or billing-cycle change is confirmed, we will show when it takes effect and any amount due, credit or prorated charge. A downgrade normally begins at the next renewal unless the confirmation screen states otherwise.

A trial, discount, voucher or promotional price may have separate eligibility, duration and renewal conditions. Those conditions will be shown before you accept the offer. Unless the offer states otherwise, it ends when the promotional period expires and the plan renews at the price disclosed during acceptance.

10
What Premium is not

Service availability and mental-health limits

We may maintain, improve or replace Premium features. If a change materially reduces the paid service during your current billing period, we will provide an appropriate remedy where required, which may include continued access, an alternative feature, credit, cancellation or refund.

Premium does not provide emergency care.

It is not health insurance, a diagnosis, a clinical treatment plan or a substitute for a qualified health professional. Use the crisis support page if you may be in immediate danger.

Temporary maintenance, telecommunications failures, payment-provider outages and events outside reasonable control may affect access. We will take reasonable steps to restore the service.

11
Transaction records

Billing privacy and records

We process account, plan, receipt, payment-reference, renewal and subscription-status information to provide Premium, reconcile payments, prevent fraud, respond to disputes and meet legal obligations. Paystack processes the sensitive payment credentials entered into its checkout.

We keep billing and audit records for the period needed for payment reconciliation, disputes, tax, fraud prevention and legal compliance. Your private journal content is not required to resolve an ordinary billing question.

Read our Privacy Policy for access, correction, deletion and complaint rights. You may also learn about Ghana’s data-protection regulator through the Data Protection Commission .

12
Access may be paused

Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate Premium access for an unpaid renewal, payment reversal, suspected fraud, unlawful activity, serious misuse or a material breach of these terms. Where practical, we will explain the reason and give you a chance to resolve the issue, unless immediate action is needed for safety, security or legal compliance.

If we end a paid subscription without cause during an active billing period, we will provide a proportionate refund or another remedy required by applicable law. Termination does not remove payment obligations that arose before termination.

13
Legal protections

Liability and rights that cannot be excluded

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits a right, remedy or liability that applicable law does not allow us to exclude or limit. This includes liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, death or personal injury caused by negligence where such limitation is prohibited.

To the extent permitted by law, Tranquiliva is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss that was not reasonably foreseeable when you subscribed. For claims arising only from the paid subscription, our aggregate liability will not exceed the subscription fees you paid during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, unless applicable law requires a greater remedy.

14
Future updates

Changes to prices or these terms

We may update Premium prices or these Subscription Terms. We will give reasonable advance notice of a material change that affects an existing subscription. A price change will not apply before the renewal identified in the notice.

If you do not agree to a change, cancel before it takes effect. Where law requires fresh consent, we will ask for it before charging under the changed terms.

15
Disputes

Governing law and resolution

These Subscription Terms are governed by the laws of Ghana. Before starting formal proceedings, you and Tranquiliva should try to resolve the issue through billing support. This informal step does not stop either party from seeking urgent relief or using a statutory complaint, refund, chargeback or court process.

Subject to any mandatory consumer right to use another forum, the courts of Ghana have jurisdiction over disputes arising from these Subscription Terms.

Quick answers

Subscription questions

Can I cancel at any time?

Yes. Cancel before your renewal date to stop the next scheduled charge. Premium normally remains available until the paid period ends.

What if I was debited but Premium did not unlock?

Do not pay again immediately. Send the receipt and transaction reference through billing support so the verified server status can be checked.

Does cancelling delete my account?

No. Cancellation stops future renewal. Account and data deletion are separate controls on the Privacy & Data page.

Where can I see my renewal date?

Your current plan, subscription status and next renewal date appear in Subscription settings after payment is verified.
